During the Game Developers Conference, Infinity Ward has announced that Modern Warfare 2 (CoD MW 2) is coming out November 10th of this year for all platforms it has been announced for. The game’s studio also showed a new teaser of the game, the trailer revealed that the final name of the game is Modern Warfare 2, looks like they left the ‘Call of Duty’ away for this new game in the series. The teaser lets us hear some noises coming from an Asian train station and a team preparing for an attack. There’s also a Russian background voice saying some stuff we can’t understand. It’s a very mysterious trailer, but it sure sounds exciting and we can’t wait to see the first real footage of Modern Warfare 2.

In 2009 it’s up to Infinity Ward to give us our yearly Call of Duty game! During a meeting with the analists of Wedbush Morgan Securities, Activision CFO Thomas Tippl announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will come out at the end of this year. Activision Blizzard still hasn’t officially announced the game, but we know for sure that the game is coming out.

Developer Infinity Ward has created a Twitter account to allow gamers to give some feedback on the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game to help them make Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 the perfect game in its genre. Robert Bowling, community rep at Infinity Ward, is responsible for the Twitter page and would like as many CoD: Modern Warfare 2 fans to give them suggestions for their new game. You can also vote on suggestions submitted by other users so that they become a number 1 suggestion for the developers.

Robert Bowling, community manager at Infinity Ward, uploaded a picture of himself playing a demo of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to his Twitter page. It’s a low quality pic so you can’t really see how the game looks like, but we thought it was a nice teaser to share with you!

Today Infinity Ward gave us a small update on Call of Duty 6. Robert Bowling from Infinity announced that the developers are currently working the radio audio of CoD 6. And once again Infinity referred to the new Call of Duty game as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It’s not sure whether this will be the final name for the new Call of Duty game.

During a small Activision Blizzard press event, Infinity Ward officially announced Call of Duty 6. The sixth Call of Duty game is getting the subtitle Modern Warfare 2. Unfortunately Infinity Ward didn’t announce any new details of the game and they didn’t release any footage as well. CoD MW 2 is due to come out fall 2009.
